The Bloodhound Project Goodwood Festival of Speed

Goodwood Festival of Speed

Event News
Thursday, 12 July, 2018

When: 12th - 15th July 2018
Where: Goodwood Estate, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0PX

The Festival of Speed is the largest motoring garden party in the world – a unique summer weekend that brings together an impossibly heady mix of cars, stars and motor sport ‘royalty’ to create the largest car culture event in the world. Held in the immaculate grounds of Goodwood House, this annual Hillclimb event is a true celebration of motor sport and all things automotive.

The 2018 Festival of Speed theme will celebrate the event's 25th anniversary: "Festival of Speed - The Silver Jubilee". The first Festival, in June 1993, redefined what a car event could be, and, in the years since, it has firmly established itself as the world's greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture. To mark the Silver Jubilee, the Duke of Richmond (formerly Lord March) will choose his 25 favourite moments from the first 25 events. These moments, and the cars and drivers which created them, will be cornerstones of this year’s event, alongside the usual gathering of extraordinary vehicles from the dawn of motoring to the present day and beyond.

Once again BLOODHOUND SSC will have a large pavilion showing all the latest information about the Project and what exciting things we are planning for later this year.  We will be in a new location halfway up the hill climb so come and find us and hear how our preparations are progressing towards a new Land Speed Record!
