It is with great sadness that we share that early this morning, Ed Shadle passed away. In his final days, he was surrounded by family and friends. We ask that while we each mourn his passing, that we also celebrate his life, and the tremendous influence that he has been for so many.

Dear Friends

I was deeply sad to read of Ed Shadles passing today.  I was only lucky enough to meet him once and we had a very long and very deep conversation as all land speed people do.  Record breaking is the toughest and most demanding of all the motor sports and requires constant challenge brilliant team work and a continuous fight against almost insuperable odds. Above all it means never ever giving up.

Ed had it all in spades and he fought a very great fight right to the end. He never gave up.

Our thoughts are with you all in the North American Eagle team at this very sad time.
