The BLOODHOUND Project is a global Engineering Adventure, using a 1,000mph World Land Speed Record attempt to inspire the next generation to enjoy, explore and get involved in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.


The Project has a number of objectives:

  • Inspire the next generation about science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
  • Share an iconic research and development programme with a global audience.
  • Set a new World Land Speed Record of 1,000mph.

Mission statement

Create a unique, high-technology project, focused around a 1,000mph World Land Speed Record attempt. Share this Engineering Adventure with a global audience and inspire the next generation by bringing science, technology, engineering and mathematics to life in the most exciting way possible.

Cisco BHTV: UK Runway Testing - Education Day

Culminating a month of runway testing at Cornwall Airport Newquay, the BLOODHOUND Team invited 10,000 fans to see the final high speed trials up close. On Monday 30th October 2017 3,500 school children from across Cornwall and Devon hap the chance to see the car, meet the team and explore the Skills Show.

Andy Green’s Diary – Feb 18

Plans are developing nicely for our forthcoming ‘BLOODHOUND 500’ test session later this year. BLOODHOUND’s Chief Exec, Richard Noble, has just returned from a hugely busy week of meetings in South Africa. Richard met with the South African Govt, the British High Commission team, a whole list of companies (who all want to help) and a range of national media. No surprise that everyone is getting excited about BLOODHOUND going to South Africa this Autumn.
