The BLOODHOUND Education team regularly visits schools and colleges to talk about the Project and inspire children and young people to get excited about science, technology, engineering and maths. Sometimes, though, we swap things round and invite schools into the BLOODHOUND Technical Centre.

Last week we were visited by St John’s Primary School from Clifton in Bristol. Here are their reactions to a day with BLOODHOUND.

“What a FANTASTIC day we have all had! Everyone came back to school buzzing – both children and adults! Thank you so much to you and all of your team for being so inspiring, welcoming and friendly.” Miss Potter, teacher

"What a simply fantastic experience! From meeting Richard Noble and an incredibly informative talk while standing touching the BLOODHOUND itself, through to testing our own rocket powered cars and competing to reach the fastest speed in the BLOODHOUND Fastest Mile Simulator – our pupils were awe-struck! Thank you for a memorable experience that has fostered a passion in so many of the children!" Miss Miller, teacher

“Today has been one of the best experiences of my life and definitely the best birthday ever!” Olivia, age 10

“It was amazing that we could go so close to the car and actually touch it!” Olive, age 9

“It's so nice that everyone put all the time and effort into making the day so perfect.” Elsie, age 11

“All the staff there were really funny, nice and friendly.” Carla, age 11

“I'm definitely coming back!” Maike, age 11

“I found it all so exciting!” Bo, aged 9

“Having our photo taken next to the car was so cool!” Molly, age 11

"Breathtaking! Not only did our own rocket powered car win at 41mph, but the entire day!" (Layla, aged 10)
