It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the passing of Jan Els who was quite literally the driving force behind Kalahari Speed Week at Hakskeenpan.  He was a good friend to the Project and a ready source of advice and local knowledge, always delivered with humour and generosity of spirit.  We will raise a glass to him on the desert.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and the extended family of Kalahari Speed Week.
