The BLOODHOUND SSC Engineering Adventure passed another milestone a month or two ago when the 500th school engaged with the education programme.
In recognition, Dawn Fitt, BLOODHOUND SSC’s Education Delivery Director, visited the academy last week and presented them with a signed poster during the morning assembly for year group 10. Mr Mick McCord D&T Teacher gave a 2 min talk about BLOODHOUND SSC and how the school will be able to follow progress of the project, engaging through the education programme. Dawn presented the poster to Ali Curran a Year 10 engineering student.
The school used to be known as Heartsease School and is now The Open Academy. It is in the process of being rebuilt (parallel build) from sustainable materials in Austria. The school will be built as modules which will then be shipped to Norwich and assembled/connected on site. The school has a specialism in Engineering and the Environment and has between 700 & 800 pupils.
Our thanks and best wishes go to The Open Academy for their interest and involvement.
