About the company

Innoval Technology, part of Danieli Group, provides high quality consultancy and technical support to investors, manufacturers and end-users of aluminium across a broad range of industry sectors. Our clients are rolling, extrusion, forging and finishing companies, and their suppliers and customers, throughout the world.

Our core team of 29 people provides expertise in a wide range of technical disciplines. Their practical experience is varied, with most people having worked on rolling and finishing processes, as well as automotive, aerospace, building and packaging products.

What we are doing for the project

We’ve used our expertise in aluminium to help the BLOODHOUND engineering team decide which alloy to manufacture the car’s wheels from (AA7037), and we've advised the team on possible manufacturing routes and sources of supply. We've also used our in-house metallurgical testing labs to analyse aluminium samples following impact damage trials.

Once the desert testing goes ahead, we'll be involved again to analyse the surface of the wheels.

How and why we got involved

Everyone at Innoval Technology is passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers. We also believe the BLOODHOUND project provides a powerful means of showcasing the technical capabilities of aluminium, which could be the material of choice for a host of parts from the car's wheels to its body panels.
