This exercise uses Google Earth and leads children to explore two desert sites which have been considered for BLOODHOUND SSC.

The coordinates for Black Rock and the Bonneville Salt Flats have been given which makes it easier to find the sites.  Children are encouraged to use the ruler tool for measuring distances. There are many photographs to view. This is a useful activity for stimulating discussion and developing literacy and numeracy skills.
